GAAP
A photographic record of GAAP’s exhibition opening and live painting performance at STUDIO 111 in Zurich, November 2023.
In November 2023, Gabriel Narváez Mora, known as GAAP, invited me to photograph his exhibition opening at STUDIO 111 in Zurich. Alongside the exhibition, he created a new painting live in front of the visitors, gradually building the work over the course of the evening.
I spent the evening moving between the exhibition, the audience and the painting process, photographing the quieter details as well as the moments when people gathered around to watch him work.
The resulting series is a simple record of the evening and of seeing a painting develop in real time, from the first materials on the floor to the finished work surrounded by the people who had watched it take shape.

Fields
The repetition of green fields and blue horizons. Or is it? Crossing the plains of the Meseta, the same landscape returns again and again, yet the subtle differences between each view become increasingly apparent.
