This website and its headless content system are hosted by Novatrend Services GmbH in Switzerland. Like most web servers, the hosting infrastructure may process IP address, request time, requested resource, referrer and browser information in security and error logs. These logs are used to operate and protect the service and are retained according to the hosting configuration.

We use a self-hosted Matomo installation to understand how this website is used. Analytics is disabled by default and only starts after you explicitly allow it. If enabled, Matomo may use first-party analytics cookies to distinguish visits and understand usage patterns. IP addresses are anonymised before they are stored. Approximate location information may be derived from the anonymised IP address. Referrer information is limited to the referring domain, and detailed raw visitor data is automatically deleted after 180 days. Aggregated statistical reports may be retained for longer. We respect your browser’s Do Not Track signal. Analytics data is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking or profiling. You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time on this Privacy Policy page.

When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address and the information you choose to include so we can answer your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare or perform a contract. Messages are delivered to our mailbox through the configured SMTP service. The website does not create a separate permanent contact-form database record. Business correspondence may be retained as long as needed for the enquiry, contractual obligations and applicable record-keeping duties.

If you subscribe, your email address and subscription status are stored in MailPoet within WordPress. A confirmation email is sent and the subscription becomes active only after you confirm it. You can unsubscribe using the link in every newsletter. Unconfirmed sign-ups are removed from this website’s newsletter list after 30 days.

When you comment, we process the name, email address, comment text, submission time and technical anti-abuse information. Your email address is never displayed publicly. New comments remain private until manually approved. Approved comments display the supplied name and text. Comment data is retained while the discussion remains published or until a justified deletion request is fulfilled.

Projects and Journal entries may include a one-to-five-star rating. The rating does not request a name, email address, account or written review. Your browser stores a random local identifier and your selected value in local storage; the server stores only a keyed, pseudonymous hash so one active rating can be maintained per publication and browser. The identifier is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Rating records are retained while the publication remains available and are removed when it is permanently deleted.

Cloudflare Turnstile may be used on public forms to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. The server validates each token with Cloudflare. Short-lived, pseudonymous rate-limit records derived from an IP address may also be processed; the raw address is not stored by the David CMS rate limiter.

Personal data may be processed by our hosting provider, email transport, MailPoet sending infrastructure and Cloudflare only where their services are involved. Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EEA under their applicable transfer safeguards.
